Zweifel Weine

Zweifel WeineThe history of Zweifel family has dated back from 1346, a major figure in the production of Wines in Switzerland. Thus, the family has involved from over 560 years in grape growing. In 1898 the brothers Emil and Paul Zweifel started selling wine and in 1919 they saw the expansion of the company. Today the company has owned by the Zweifel family and guided by the 3rd and 4th generation. Their main objective is to produce wines which represent the grape variety and Terroir at its best.

The acquisition of new vineyards has resulted in starting of a new production in 1968. Later, sophistication of the production plant and the up-date of winemaking techniques were imperative steps in the company background. The intensive quality control, specially intended for the potential of each individual vineyard, resulted in the improved quality of our wines. They process 150’000 kg grapes per year, grape varieties such as Muller-Thurgau and Pinot noir were planted traditionally in the eastern region of Switzerland. They are also coming with international grape varieties now a days. The variety in new grapes has enabled to come up with some innovative «blends», of which all attain the utmost quality standards.
