In the little village of Peissy lays the estate snuggled on the slopes of a ridge seven miles from Geneva. It consists of 6 hectares of land and wine producers that have been in the family for eight generations. The soil - clay resting on molasse, a soft powdery sandstone - concludes the character of that particular wine. A warm savor has been created with excellence which is sometimes brought out by a trace of bitterness in the after-taste. It aims to produce a conventional winemaking process with the modern sophisticated oenological system.
A plethora of works have been taking on these lines in accumulation with other Geneva producers of wine. The vineyard of Geneva has been extended by renting some plots and contracting to manage others. Domain Les Perrieres is under cultivation and thus sold some of the area’s finest harvests. All the environment-friendly wine growers of the place grow the vine according to the rules of what is termed Integrated Production or IP. A fine wine matures in the cellar. After several vinification processes each variety of Grapes has come up with the best calculated product to bring out its qualities and its genuineness.
