The Societe Vinicole de Bex is positioned at the intense south-east of the canton of Vaud Located within the district of Aigle and expanded from the banks of the Rhone (at an altitude of 400 m) to the summit of the Diablerets (alt. 3209 m) Societe Vinicole de Bex is thus the prime wine lover’s fascinations. The Bex vineyard exactly lies in the winegrowing area of Chablais (from Villeneuve to Lavey). The Colline du Montet, the Colline de Chietres and the Chene-sur-Bex are the three different regions which also includes the first vines planted by the Romans.
The Cellar: 38.5 hectors of grapes are provided to the Societe Vinicole de Bex, one of the rare cellars in the canton of Vaud. Cellars are more red than white - Chasselas 47 % (18 ha) - Gamay 36 % (14 ha) - Pinot 17 % (6.5 ha) has festooned the vicinity. Societe Vinicole de Bex is one of the oldest in the canton of Vaud, founded in 1880. After a few years it was totally dissolved and then took up its activity again in 1905. Societe Vinicole de Bex is now a cooperative company with 100 members most of them work in vine for part time.
