By tram : Visitors can get public transportation such as tram 3, 5, 8 or 9 / Bus No. 31 up to the "Kunsthaus" to reach Zürich Art Museum.
Among the 45 museums in Zürich , Kunsthaus (meaning "Art House") is one of the largest of them all . The museum of Art Zurich was established in the Victorial Era. The extensive collection of the museum contains the masterpieces of Alberto Giacometti , works by renowned international painter Edvard Munch, Van Gogh, Picasso and leading modern expressionists of repute like Rothko, Merz, Twombly, Beuys, Bacon and Baselitz. The visitors can come across a wide range of sculptures and paintings in this museum. The audio guide provides background information about 200 highlights of the collection. Kunthaus Zurich also features a big library and a plenteous collection of photographs. The museum remains opened through out the year except on Mondays.
