The Vitro Musée is a unique collection of stained glass and reverse painting on glass displayed in a castle in Romont. These superb collections has mostly European works from the early Middle ages to present reflecting a wonderful world of images alive with light and colour. Around 50 works are displayed ranging from religious themes to heraldic emblems to the fine works from the art nouveau period including the enchanting St. Cecilia, which is probably originated from the studio of Louis Tiffany. Different methods and techniques are explained using actual historic works through workshops and exhibitions. The original castle also houses a stained glass research and information center with a library open to the public. The region is famous for its exceptional glass working history which allows visitors to wander in the heart of this charming countryside and explore buildings with valuable elegant stained glass windows.
