Maienfeld
Maienfeld, in Graubünden region of Switzerland is not only famous for its great wine but also for Heidi – Johanna Spyri’s famous book and an equally famous toon and movie character. A route called the Heidi trail leads to the Heididorf – Heidi’s village. The village has Heidi’s original home called Heidihaus which is now a museum.
The theme of Heidi's Village is "Heidi: yesterday - today - tomorrow”. A must visit place for all children and adults who are fans of Heidi.
The Heidi Fountain inaugurated in 1953 to commemorate the author is situated on the road to St. Luzisteig.
