For decades a visit to Villa Flora was a privilege only for the family of the owners and a close circle of friends. Thanks to the private initiative by the descendants of the collectors couple who has been opened the Villa Flora to the public since 1995. The main focus is on young Swiss artists and on the works of the Nabis Bonnard ,Vallotton , Vuillard and painters of Fauvism movement like Matise , Rouault and Manguin as well as their forerunners like Cézanne, van Gogh, Redon. The main highlights of the museum are typical home décor of middle classes around the turn of the 20th century. The museum retains the charming atmosphere of the collector's former home. The museum remains opened through out the year except on Mondays from 2 pm to 5 pm.
