Graubünden is the largest easternmost Canton of Switzerland. The canton shares international borders with Italy, Austria and Liechtenstein. Graubünden is a home of three of Switzerland’s ethnic groups and the subsequent languages of Swiss, German, Italian and Romansh are all native to the state. It is the only canton where the dialects of the ancient Romansh languages are still spoken. Graubünden has every color red for Rhätische Bahn railway, yellow for the postal buses, blue for its 615 lakes and skies , green for its 150 valleys , forests and pastures, golden brown for larch trees in autumn grey for its ancient castles and white for its snow capped mountains. To sum up Graubünden is a rainbow of attractions If you are an adventure lover and enjoy skiing, snowboarding, horse riding, cross country skiing every thing is possible in Graubünden as it has a winter sports areas where you can enjoy all these. Some of the major winter attractions of Graubünden are St. Moritz, toboggan from Preda to Bergün or brave glacier downhill run on Diavolez. Another important tourist region center of the region is Pontresina where the Berninapass begins which is a worth visiting place. The Oberengadin which is better known as Unterengadin is definetly worth to pay a visit here the visitors will find the health resort of Scoul and the beautiful National Park which is partly situated in Switzerland and partly in Italy is among the major attractions of Graubünden.
