How to Reach
By Train : Take a train with reached Chur, or take Rhaetian Railway to Ilanz and then take the bust up to Vals which is about 20 km from Ilanz.
By Car : Take a car from Chur - Flims – Ilanz to reach Vals.
Blessed with a hot spring rich in calcium sulfate and hydrogen carbonate, Vals is a major attraction among the health seekers. Vals is an unspoilt Walser village surrounded by Therme with stone roof houses. It is an irresistible combination of modern hotel and elemental quartzite bathhouse which is designed by Pritzker winner architect Peter Zumthor. It was created in 1996 this impressive spa retreat is renown throughout Europe for its style and comfort and quiet ambience. It is the first building in the Switzerland to be placed on the list of protected Swiss Heritage Conservation sites with in two years of its inauguration. The spa remains closed in the months of April and May.
