The Swiss Vapeur Parc was opened on June 6, 1989 by an international Festival of steam. The Swiss Steam Park in Le Bouveret opposite to the Lake Geneva spreads in the area of 170,000 square m. In 1989, the park possessed only 2 locomotives but in 2007 the number of trains running on benzine has sextuples and has increased to 9. This amusement park is a major attraction among families and fans of steam engines. These locomotives invite you to take a dream journey into the enthralling realm of railways. Every year in the month of June the park hosts a International Steam Festival where more than 60 engines meet at the Swiss Park. The Swiss Steam Park remains open from March to October. An admission ticket entitles the visitors to enjoy as many trains as they wish.
