How to reach
By car : Visitors can reach Swiss National Park via car from Chur via Davos/Flüelapass or they can take the public transportation from Chur via Klosters(Vereinatunnel) to Zernez.
The Swiss National Park is located in the caton of Graubunden in the East of Switzerland between Engadine and Müstair valleys. The Alpine landscape of the National Park is situated at an altitude of 1,400 to 3200 m above the sea level. The National Park was established on 1 August 1914 and enlarged in 1959. Stretched in 169 square kms this magnificent area in the Central European and Alpine National Park is famous for its natural flora and fauna. It is primarily a nature reserve with scientific aims and is a prohibited area for grazing, hunting, fishing and flower picking. This National Park is a home to varied vegetation includes many rare species of Alpine plants and wild animals. Numerous Alpine plants bloom between June and August and are the ideal months to visit this place .The park is easily accessible due to a good network of roads from which foot trails extend in many directions. The Park remains opened in the months of June to October from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm and on Tuesdays up to 10 pm.
