Stein am Rhein is a medival city located in the county of Schaffhausen. The town is situated in the midst of beautiful countryside at the end where Lake Constance merge with the Rhine river.Magnificent colourful facades, the calm and neat bays , the pretty half-timber houses borders the town square.

Above the town is the magnificient Castle of Hohenklingen, built into the vineyards and forest . The well preserved Benedictine Cloister of St. Georgen, built between 14th and 16th century, along with the museum are worth visiting.
