How to Reach
By Car : It takes 30 minutes by car to reach Säntis-Schwägalp from St. Gallen and 60 minutes from the Lake Constance. Parking space at Schwägalp is also available for visitors.
By Bus : Visitors can avail buses from Urnäsch /Appenzellerland, or from Nesslau / Toggenburg to reach Säntis-Schwägalp.
Mount Säntis is situated at an altitude of 2502 m. It offers a sweeping panoramic view of six countries. The Schwägalp is near to the Säntis and is the largest elevation of eastern Switzerland. The Säntis is the starting and the destination point of numerous mountain adventures. Mt. Säntis and Schwägalp are not only famous for there panoramic views but also offer endless opportunities to the visitors to enjoy their visit. A plethora of activities on Schwägalp can be enjoyed, which include large sun terraces, wheelchair accessible , mountain hiking trails, and multi cuisines offered by Paorama Restaurant or the Terrasse Restaurants. The romantic evening rides by gondola up the mountain, with full- moon buffets and music, a visit to Schwägalp cheese factory, Geological Stone Park, Nature Exploration Park and a vast excellent network of hiking trails are the major attractions among the tourists. The expedition to Säntis-Schwägalp remains open through out the year.
