The Museum of Ancient Art is devoted to ancient civilization of the Mediterranean region with fine examples of Etruscan-Roman and Egyptian art. It is the only Swiss museum that is exclusively dedicated to the classical antiquity which depicts the period from 1000 B.C to 300 A.D. The collection of Greek vases and Sculptures are the main highlights of this museum. Other noteworthy artifacts of the museum include gold jewellery, terracotta and bronze statuettes. The Museum opens from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 amt to 5 pm.
