How to Reach
By Train : From the SBB train station take the Tram No. 2 up to Wettsteinplatz then change to Bus No. 31 to reach the museum.
The museum is dedicated to the work of Jean Tinguely, one of the renowned sculptors of Switzerland. The museum was designed and built by an architect Mario Botta. The museum showcases the 70 mechanical sculptures of artist’s life span of 4 decades. The museum is a collection of machine sculptures, drawings and reliefs of his life time. Jean Tinguely has stimulated and revolutionized the static art world with his Kinetic works. His works sparkle with wit, vitality, irony and poetry. The museum is a delight. It is full of vitality, amazement, laughter and discovery, a place that sets the feeling in motion. The museum arouses in children and adults the need to experiment, to play and think about the art. A varied program with special exhibitions on companions and contemporaries and modern artists accompany with Tinguely’s work in the museum. The museum remains opened from Tuesday to Sunday from 11 am to 7 pm.
