The castle was once a headquarters of the Kyburg and Habsburg governors which is now a historical and cultural museum of the town and the canton. The museum offers fascinating insights into the castle life over the last 800 years. The collection of the castle includes items of pre and early history, stained glass, clocks, weapons, uniforms and implements used in agriculture and crafts.
