By train : Get the train up to Schwyz SBB station. Continue by bus in the direction of Schwyz Post. The Museum is located immediately at the stop Schwyz Post.
Forum of Swiss History, a branch of the Swiss National Museum is one of the key museums of Alpine region. It invites visitors on a voyage of discovery in to the world of daily life of our ancestors from 1300 to 1800. The Forum spreads in the area of 1,400 Sq. m with 800 intriguing objects from all corners of Switzerland each with its unique story to tell and share of history to relate. Permanent exhibitions use extensive information in four languages along with multimedia and interactive stations which illustrate the everyday life of Swiss Confederates. Temporary exhibitions, expert guide tours, workshops for children and various special events are organized on the central Swiss region. Changing exhibitions, lectures and concerts make the Forum of Swiss history a cultural focal point in the Central Switzerland. The Forum remains opened from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.
