Swiss Mountains are among the most challenging of all the Alpine ranges. Switzerland contains some of Europe’s finest walking terrain with enough variety to suite every taste. The cultural walkway linking nearly 600 km of existing trails from the Eastern part of Switzerland from Lake Léman to Mustair Grisons. This 30-day walk follows a twisting route which covers 10 cantons, over 15 passes, and across all four cultural and linguistic regions of the country. The main aim of this Cultural walk way to familiarize the people with not only the eternal beauty of this country but also people, their history and customs, over hill and dale away from the hurly burly of the cities.
Place covered during this walk are :
St. Gingolph - Château d'Oex - Spiez - Marbach - Engelberg - Altdorf - Gotthard - Biasca - Chur - Klosters - Müstair
Paths are well maintained, and always clearly marked with regular yellow signposts displaying the names of major landmark destinations.
600 km cultural trek. Not for the fainthearted this walkway runs from Lake Léman to Mustair Grisons in the most eastern part of Switzerland.
