If you want to spend a holiday in the Canton of Neuchatel, then on a walking tour you will discover one of the most stunning and impressive geological sites of Switzerland – the natural rock cirque of Creus-de-Van. A breathtaking beautiful natural rock Creux-du-Van was derived from Celtic word Vanno which means Slope. This semicircular rock basin has a diameter of 1,400 m and height of its steep cliffs rise almost 160 m from the ground. The highest point of the mountain ridge is 1,463 m. It is a paradise for ibex, birds of prey, lynx, marmots, deer and of course for nature lovers.
