By train : Take the TRAVYS (Yverdon - Sainte-Croix) train line from the Yverdon-les-Bains railway station to reach CIMA.
CIMA, The Centre International de la Mécanique d'Art is a museum in Sainte -Croix which specialized in musical boxes and automatons. In 1796 Antoine Favre made the first music box. Sainte-Croix is renowned as the world capital for these wonderful inventions for over a century. The machines which are on display here range from Vaucanson styles to contemporary designers present an unbelievable poetic spectacle. The writer Pierrot comes to life and the acrobat performs tricks before your very eyes. The museum remain open through out the year from Tuesday to Sunday.
