Chambesy Conservatory and Botanical garden Gardens was established in 1904. The worlds most comprehensive botanic garden covers an area of 28 hectares. This arboretum comprises specimens of about 16,000 different species. The world famous Botanical garden is divided into number of sections like Rock Garden, Arboretum, Medicinal Herb Garden, Hothouses, Animal Park, The Garden of Scent and Touch etc. Its conservatory houses a rich public scientific library of more than 220,000volumes and 5.5 million strong herbarium, makes it one of the five largest gardens in the world. Its lake is decorated with aquatic plants which provide an oasis of fresh and calm greenery. It is an exceptional and educational place for relaxing and strolling. The time to visit this place is from end of October to March from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm and from April to End of October from 8.00am to 7.30 pm.
