Yverdon-les-Bains is the municipality in the district of Yverdon of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. The small town of Yverdon-les-Bains is nestling between the Jura Mountains, the hills of Broye, the Lake of Neuenburg, and the plains of Orbe. It is the second most important town in the canton of Vaud and is famous for its thermal springs. Besides the natural beauty of the town is an important regional centre for commerce and tourism. The small town of Yverdon –les-Bains was awarded the Wakker Prize in 2009 for the way the city had handled and developed the public areas and connected the old city with the Lake Neuchâtel.
