Sainte-Croix / Les Rasses lies on a protected sunny terrace amidst the Jura landscape in the Lake Geneva region. The town is renowned for its music boxes and nickelodeons. Today there are two museums that presents these melodious handcrafted items the CIMA Music box and Nickelodeon Museum in Sainte –Croix and the Baud Museum nearby L’Auberson that exhibits the unique collections and are the major tourist attractions among the visitors. The well marked trails around the Sainte – Croix measures about 80 Km and is linked to the adjoining cross country trail networks in the Neuenburg canton and France. The small snow sports region above the Les Rasses on the slopes of Chasseron is specially suited for families as it has 9 smaller lift facilities provide easy access to easy and medium pistes. The region also has the largest night skiing area in western Switzerland. In summers the Sainte- Croix and the resort of Les Rasses are the major center of attraction among the visitors. The Sainte-Croix is situated on the Jura route of the “Cycling in Switzerland” National Route network. Les Rasses is the valley station of the chair lift up to the Chasseron which is the starting point as well as the destination point of many tours. Walkers and cyclists appreciate the numerous Alpine Huts which offer local products and specialties.
