Lake Maggiore or Logo Maggiore is 54 Km long with a coastline of over 150 km and 12 km wide is one of the stunning Italian lakes situated on the edge of Italian Alps. It has number of popular towns crossing the border between Italy and Switzerland. Like all other Italian Lakes it is a deep glacial basin that is fed by the rivers of Verzasca, Giona and Cannobino that flows into the Lake. The major outlet of the lake is Ticino which in turn joins with the River Pro just south east of Pavia. The climate of all these protected lakes is mild in both summers and winters and thus makes a major tourist attraction for the visitors. Among the other attractions include the well known gardens of Isola Madre, Isola Bella, the Isole di Brissago and Alpania Botanical Garden above Stresa.
