The Villars ski resort is located on a natural south-facing balcony and is perched on a height of 1300 
meters in the heart of the Vaudoises Alps. One of the main features of this picturesque resort is its mountain railway that goes on a winding journey up the valley from Bex to Bretaye. However, mainly due to its lower altitude and south-facing location, adequate snow cannot be guaranteed at Villars. But now with the introduction of snowmakers the problem has been partially solved.
