Scenic Switzerland by Rail Special Tour

Day 02: Zurich – Lucerne
Second day of your Scenic Switzerland by Rail Special Tour starts by boarding the train from Zurich to Lucerne. Surrounded by a beautiful lake, Lucerne is nestled amidst snow-caped Alps. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and explore Lucerne. You can even choose to know the town by taking our optional excursions.

Day 03: Golden Pass train to Lausanne
You will leave Lucerne via the Golden Pass Panoramic train. Starting from Lucerne, you will cross the Brunig Pass via Interlaken. Your Golden Pass Line journey will continue to Lausanne, via Zweisimmen and Meiringen. Enjoy a stoppage at Meiringen, known for its Reichenbach Falls and Sherlock Holmes Museum. Have an overnight stay at Lausanne.

Day 04: Lausanne – Zermatt
Morning departure for the beautiful Swiss mountain resort in Zermatt. On your way to Zermatt, you will have a stoppage in the town of Montreux by the “Swiss Riviera” of lake Geneva for leisure. You can choose an optional excursion to Chillon and avail to enjoy its castle with a local guide. Have an overnight stay in Zermatt.

Day 05: Zermatt - Included Gornergrat excursion
On the fifth day of your Scenic Switzerland by Rail Special Tour, you will enjoy a separate visit to the famous Gornergrat while traveling onboard Europe’s highest rack railway. Spend the rest of the day in Zermatt and have a gala time in interesting shops, bars, cafes and streets there. Overnight stay in Zermatt.

Day 06: Zermatt – Glacier Express to St Moritz
Enjoy the train journey aboard the Glacier Express that will take you through the Alps on its way from Zermatt to the famous mountain resort of St. Moritz. Arrive in St. Moritz early evening and stay there for two nights.

Day 07: St. Moritz – Bernina Express to Tirano – St. Moritz
On the 7th day of your Scenic Switzerland by Rail Special Tour, you will board the Bernina Express Train to Tirano for one of Europe’s most breathtaking rides. Beginning from St. Moritz this train will take you through the Bernina Pass via the Swiss Poschiavo area to Tirano in the Italian Valtellina. Return to St. Moritz for an overnight stay.

Day 08: St Moritz – Klosters – Zurich
Today, you will proceed from St. Moritz to Zurich. On your way, you will enjoy stoppage in the town of Klosters for leisure. Have an overnight stay in Zurich.

Day 09: Zurich – UK
Last day of your Scenic Switzerland by Rail Special Tour begins with a transfer to Zurich airport after having breakfast. Board the flight back to UK.
