Day 01: Zurich
Arrive at Zurich airport, where our representative will be waiting to escort you to Hotel Renaissance. Check in at the hotel and then go on a late afternoon orientation tour of the lakeside city. In the evening enjoy a Welcome Dinner and a drink with our Tour Director.
Day 02: Zurich - Liechtenstein - St. Moritz
Post breakfast, drive to the Principality of Liechtenstein and its capital, Vaduz on he second day of your Best of Switzerland Trafalgar Tour. Then continue to your journey via the ski-resort of Davos and pass through the Fluela Pass and Susch. Have dinner and an overnight stay at Hotel Crystal in St. Moritz.
Day 03: St. Moritz - Bellinzona - Lugano
Ascend the Julier Pass and drive along the San Bernadino Route to Bellinzona in the canton of Ticino. Then arrive in the soothing lakeside resort of Lugano. Choose to ride a pedalo on the lake or go on an excursion to the nearby Italian Lakes. Have meals and an overnight stay at Hotel De la Paix.
Day 04: Lugano - Zermatt Via Lake Maggiore
On the 4th day of your Best of Switzerland Trafalgar Tour, you will go through a small section of Italy to Domodossola and drive through the Simplon Pass at a height of 6,600 feet. Then arrive at Tasch area and board the electric mini buses and reach the village of Zermatt. Spend some time at leisure and take a mountain ride to enjoy the views of Matterhorn. In the evening, enjoy dinner at Albana Real Hotel. Have an overnight stay.
Day 05: Zermatt - Montreux - Geneva
This day starts with a drive through the Rhone Valley till Lake Geneva, where you will view Byron’s Castle of Chillon. From there you will proceed to Montreux and watch many breathtaking sights. Later proceed to the cosmopolitan city of Geneva via Lausanne. Arrive there and go on a walking tour and visit the Reformation Monument and the old Cathedral. Coach travel will also let you see United Nation’s Building and the Jet d’Eau Fountain. Have a sumptuous dinner and an overnight stay at Hotel Cornavin.
Day 06: Geneva - Berne - Interlaken - Brienz - Lucerne
Take some time out for shopping on the 6th day of your Best of Switzerland Trafalgar Tour. Then you will proceed to Berne, set between the lakes of Thun and Brienz and surrounded by the Jungfrau Mountain. Have lunch and then continue over the Brunig Pass and finally arrive at Lucerne. Have a 2-night stay and meals at Hotel Radisson SAS.
Day 07: Lucerne
Post breakfast enjoy an orientation tour and visit the Lion Monument, built in the memory of Louis XVI’s Swiss Guard and Chapel Bridge. Then you may choose to go on an optional excursion to a nearby mountain peak or opt to watch the Swiss folklore show. You can also try exploring the old city and shop Swiss watched and Swiss chocolates. Have dinner and an overnight stay at Hotel Radisson SAS in Lucerne.
Day 08: Lucerne - Depart Zurich
Last day of your Best of Switzerland Trafalgar Tour starts with a flight back home. Try not to schedule flights before 10:30am.
