Day 01: Frankfurt
Today you will make your way to join the Alpine Countries Globus Tour in Frankfurt.
Day 02: Arrival in Frankfurt, Germany
On the second day of your Alpine Countries Globus Tour you will either rest or explore the metropolis on the River Main. Meet your tour director and other fellow passengers at 6pm followed by a welcome dinner at your hotel.
Day 03: Frankfurt-Rothenburg - Munich
Today you will explore the Romantic Road in Germany towards the Alps. Have fun in Rothenburg and visit its towers and lanes along with the 16th century houses. Then proceed on a ride to the Danube Valley and Munich. Have a glass of beer at the Hofbräuhaus at night. Breakfast and dinner will b provided today.
Day 04: Munich
Go on a city sightseeing tour with a local guide in Germany’s ‘secret capital’ that includes visit to the Olympic Stadium, 1,000 foot high Television Tower, Marienplatz with Old and New Town Hall, Nymphenburg Palace and Gothic Frauenkirche. Spend the afternoon at leisure. AT night enjoy Bavarian fare in any of the famous Munich’s typical restaurants.
Day 05: Munich - Salzburg -Vienna
On the 5th day of your Alpine Countries Globus Tour you will pass through the southern Bavaria to the Austrian border and reach Salzburg. Then go on a walking tour with a local guide and visit the historic center of Mozart’s hometown, Mirabell Gardens, St. Peter’s Churchyard, the Great Festival Hall and the monumental Domplatz. In the evening arrive at Vienna, known to be the center of Habsburg Empire once. At night you can try feasting the local cuisine and enjoy a typical Viennese form of entertainment.
Day 06: Vienna
Today you will met your local guide and then go on a sightseeing tour with vistas of Prater Park along with its giant Ferris Wheel and the United Nations City, set up on the banks of Danube River. You will then drive along Ring Boulevard and pass through the State Opera House, the Jewish quarter and finally have a stoppage at Hofburg Palace. Watch out the impressive courtyards and Heldenplatz. Also, visit Schönbrunn Palace and Grinzing and taste Heurigen wine. Breakfast will be provided today.
Day 07: Vienna - St. Veit
Pass through the Semmering Pass, peaceful towns of Styria and the popular resorts of Carinthia. Have an overnight stay in St. Veit. Breakfast and dinner will be taken care of.
Day 08:St. Veit - Italian Dolomites - Innsbruck
Go on a drive via the Iselsberg Pass to the Italian border and then to Cortina d’Ampezzp, the famous Olympic skiing resort of the Dolomites. Then drive via Tre Croci Pass and Lake Misurina to Brunico and the famous Brenner Pass to reach Innsbruck in Tyrolean Alps. Stroll down the medieval lanes of Innsbruck to Emperor Maximilian’s Golden Roof. You can also go on an optional Tyrolean song and dance show at the end of the day. Breakfast and dinner will be taken care of.
Day 09: Innsbruck - St. Moritz
On the 9th day of your Alpine Countries Globus Tour you will start from the Inn Valley to Swiss Engadine and watch its high mountain peaks, villages, stone houses built in Grisons style. Spend the afternoon in St. Moritz. Breakfast and dinner will be provided.
Day 10: St. Moritz - Lugano
Today you will proceed towards the Italian Lake Como and then continue to reach the southern tip of Switzerland, called Lugano. Reach there and enjoy a walk in the shady Parco Ciani’s old trees. Breakfast and dinner will be provided.
Day 11: Lugano – Stresa - Zermatt
Proceed from Lake Lugano to the Italian shore of Lake Maggiore to enjoy a break in Stresa. Go on an optional boat ride to Isola Bella. Then continue passing through the Simplon Pass in to the Swiss Valais. Disembark from the coach in Täsch area and board the mountain train to climb up to Zermatt, set in the foot of Matterhorn. Breakfast and dinner will be taken care of.
Day 12: At Leisure in Zermatt
Spend the whole day at leisure and enjoy riding Europe’s highest rack railway to Gornergrat. Explore the town on your own or relax. Breakfast will be provided today.
Day 13: Zermatt – Berne – Interlaken - Lucerne
On the 13th day of Alpine Countries Globus Tour you will pass through the vineyards and apricot groves of lower Rhone Valley. Reach Lake Geneva and then Berne, Switzerland’s capital. Go on a sightseeing tour in Berne and visit Bear Pit and monumental Federal Palace. Then continue to Interlaken beneath the Jungfrau and reach Lucerne passing through Brunig Pass. Breakfast and dinner will be provided.
Day 14: Lucerne
Today you will go on a walking tour and watch out the Lion Monument, patrician houses and covered bridge. Then shop for Swiss watches and choose from a variety of optional activities like taking a cruise on the fjord like lake, climbing a mountain by cable car or signing up for a folklore party. Breakfast will be provided.
Day 15: Lucerne – Heidelberg -Frankfurt
Visit the Rhine Falls ay Schaffhausen on your way back to Germany. Then head northwards in to the hills of Black Forest, known for its cuckoo clocks. In the afternoon have a break in Heidelberg before returning to Frankfurt. At night have a farewell diner with your tour fellow passengers. Breakfast and dinner will be taken care of.
Day 16: Departure
Leave Frankfurt for your way back home. Here ends your Alpine Countries Globus Tour.
