Day 01: UK – Munich
Your Alpine Adventure and Glacier Express Tour begins with a flight to Munich, where our representative will be waiting to escort you to your hotel for an overnight stay in Munich.
Day 02: Munich area - Innsbruck
On the second day of your Alpine Adventure and Glacier Express Tour you will drive south and stop on way to visit Linderhof Castle, set in the forest of the Ammergau Alps. Then proceed to Austria passing through Seefeld and reach Innsbruck to have an overnight stay and admire its famous Golden Roof. Breakfast and dinner will be taken care of.
Day 03: Innsbruck - Liechtenstein - Lake Lucerne
Proceed towards Tyrol to the Arlberg Tunnel and then to the Vorarlberg to reach Vaduz, capital of Liechtenstein. Head to the shores of lovely Lake Lucerne. Visit the famous Lion Monument, impressive city walls and covered wooden bridge in Lucerne. Have an overnight stay in the Lake Lucerne area. Breakfast will be provided.
Day 04: Lake Lucerne - Stans - Berne - Geneva area
On thr 4th day of your Alpine Adventure and Glacier Express Tour you will go on an optional excursion by funicular and cable car to the 6,227-foot summit of the Stanserhorn. Then motor along the shores of Lake Thun and then visit Switzerland’s capital, Berne. Visit its attractions like Bear Pit and the monumental Federal Palace. Then arrive at Geneva for an overnight stay. Breakfast and dinner will be taken care of.
Day 05: Geneva area - Chillon Castle – Zermatt
In the morning enjoy exploring Geneva; visit Chillon Castle, known to be the residence of the Counts of Savoy in the 12th century. Then proceed to Täsch for an alpine train journey to Zermatt. Breakfast and dinner will be taken care of during this day.
Day 06: Zermatt
Stroll down a variety of shops, cafes and bars along the narrow streets of Zermatt. Go on an optional excursion to the Gornergrat, Europe’s highest rack railway, situated at a height of 10,272 ft. Breakfast will be provided.
Day 07: Zermatt - The Glacier Express to Andermatt - Lugano
Proceed on an alpine train journey to Andermatt through the beautiful Alps. After reaching Andermatt rejoin the coach to go on a journey to the shores of Lake Lugano for an overnight stay. Breakfast and dinner will be provided.
Day 08: Lugano - Venice area
On the 8th day of your Alpine Adventure and Glacier Express Tour, you will travel to Venice. Go on a sightseeing tour with a local guide. Take an afternoon boat cruise along the Giudecca Canal to Piazza San Marco followed by a visit to the St. Mark’s Basilica. Also, visit the Venetian glass blowing workshops. Breakfast and dinner will be taken care of.
Day 09: Venice area -Dolomites - Salzburg area
Move towards the splendid scenery of Dolomites and enjoy a stop at the famous winter resort of Cortina. Cross in to Austria in the afternoon and visit Grossglockner. Then arrive at Salzburg for an overnight stay. Breakfast and dinner will be provided.
Day 10: Salzburg area (included sightseeing) - Munich area
Go on a city sightseeing excursion with a local guide. Visit Domplatz, Horse Trough, Festival Hall and Getreidegasse, where the famous musician Mozart was born. In the afternoon carry on with your journey to the Munich area for an optional Bavarian evening and enjoy a farewell dinner along with an overnight stay.
Day 11 : Munich area – UK
On the last day of your Alpine Adventure and Glacier Express Tour you will get transferred to Munich airport for a flight back UK.
Note: This tour visits areas with high altitudes and may therefore be unsuitable for those with pre-existing heart/respiratory conditions.
