DAY 1: ARRIVE ZURICH
Check in at Swissotel Zurich International with assistance from the Switzerland Flexi Tours representative. You are free to spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 2: ZURICH - JUNGFRAUJOCH-Top of Europe - INTERLAKEN
Enjoy a memorable Alpine tour to the majestic world of the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe at 3'454 meters above sea level with Swiss Charming Tour with Jungfraujoch tour package. Enjoy a guided coach tour to the magnificent Bernese Oberland and then proceed to Lauterbrunnen and board the cogwheel train for the most interesting mountain train trip via Kleine Scheidegg at the foot of the famous Eiger North Face to Jungfraujoch - Europe's highest railway station. Tour the beautiful Ice Palace, the Sphinx Observation Hall overlooking the Aletsch Glacier i.e. Switzerland's largest glacier and the snow-capped peaks of the neighboring countries, in the late afternoon check-in at your hotel in Interlaken. DAY 3: INTERLAKEN
You're free to spend the day at leisure. Interlaken is located between Lakes Thun and Brienz, at the foot of the towering trio of the Eiger, Moench and Jungfrau Mountains. Interlaken is of course the perfect place to relax. Enjoy sightseeing and shopping along the Hoehenstrasse, the boulevard street in Interlaken flanked with nice restaurants, elegant Fashion, Watch and Jewelers shops. Interlaken is ideally located for many excursions. Enjoy a leisurely cruise on a modern motorship or one of the renovated stately steamers on Lake Thun. You even have an opportunity to tour Ballenberg Open-Air Museum (near Brienz) a unique museum offering a fascinating insight into Swiss rural dwellings and lifestyles dating back several centuries with some 90 buildings to be visited. Overnight at FIRST CLASS HOTEL - dinner is on your own.
DAY 4: INTERLAKEN - BERNE - GRUYERES - GENEVA
Today the Swiss Charming Tour with Jungfraujoch takes you on a drive along beautiful Lake Thun to the Swiss capital, Berne. See the attractions of Berne - a stunning city poised gracefully on the banks of River Aare with Alpine peaks forming a scenic backdrop. Visit the Old Town and tour the Clock Tower, Kramgasse, and 15th century Cathedral of St. Vincent. A drive south takes us to the scenic dairy farmlands, to Gruyeres, i.e. a beautiful hilltop town. Enjoy a fun tour to a dairy products farm. Later the Swiss Charming Tour with Jungfraujoch takes you to Vaud Riviera and then to Geneva, the most cosmopolitan city of Switzerland. Overnight at FIRST CLASS HOTEL - dinner on your own.
DAY 5: GENEVA - MONTREUX - ZERMATT
Today we begin with a city-tour of Geneva and tour the beautiful parks along Lake Geneva, later in the day tour the old town with its cathedral, the unique town hall and the European seat of the United Nations. In the late morning we leave Geneva and drive to Lausanne and Montreux. Drive past the Chillon Castle - a 13th century fortress that finds a mention in Lord Byron's poem. Break for lunch in Montreux. In the afternoon we proceed through the Valais, the valley of the river Rhone with its orchards and vineyards. At Täsch we will board a cogwheel train that takes us to the mountain resort of Zermatt at the foot of the mighty Matterhorn. Dinner and overnight at FIRST CLASS HOTEL
DAY 6: ZERMATT - NUFENEN PASS - ZURICH
Spend the morning at leisure in Zermatt. Tour the lovely old farmhouses and barns that ornament the Swiss countryside. You may embark on a optional cogwheel train up to Gornergrat for a spectacular view of the surrounding snow-covered peaks. After noon board the train to Täsch where the Switzerland Flexi Tours coach is waiting to take us over the breathtaking Nufenen Pass to Airolo. Return to Zurich by bus or train. Arrival in Zurich approximately at 6.30 p.m.
