DAY 1: ARRIVE ZURICH
On arrival at Zurich meet the Switzerland Flexi Tours representative who assists you to check in at Swissotel Zurich International. You're free to spend the day at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 2: ZURICH - LUCERNE - MT. TITLIS - INTERLAKEN
Today we leave Zurich at 8.30 a.m. and arrive at Lucerne and visit the Lion Monument, walk over the 14th century wooden bridge and spend some time shopping and sightseeing. At noon we the Scenic Swiss Tour takes you to the mountain resort of Engelberg. A cable car ride carries you to the summit of Mount Titlis. Experience glacial glory and eternal ice magic as you enjoy a magnificent ride in the world's innovative revolving 'ROTAIR' gondola. (Carry a warm sweater along). In the afternoon we cross Brunig Pass to the Bernese Oberland and arrive at the village Brienz, where we watch woodcarvers at work. DAY 3: INTERLAKEN - BERNE - GRUYERES - GENEVA
Today the Scenic Swiss Coach tour takes you on a romance filled drive along the beautiful banks of Lake Thun to the Swiss capital, Berne. Berne is attractively poised on a steep curve of the River Aare with picturesque panoramas of the Alps in the backdrop. A city tour to the Old Town includes the Clock Tower, Kramgasse, and the 15th century Cathedral of St. Vincent. A drive south takes us to the scenic dairy farmlands - Gruyeres. Enjoy an informative visit to a factory producing delicious milk products - that is an important highlight of the Scenic Swiss Tour with Switzerland Flexi Tours. DAY 4: GENEVA - MONTREUX - ZERMATT
Day 04 of the Scenic Swiss Tour begins with a city-tour of Geneva. See exotic gardens and parks laid on the banks of Lake Geneva, tour the old town with its cathedral, the unique town-hall and the European seat of the United Nations. In the late morning we leave Geneva and drive to Lausanne and Montreux. Drive past the Chillon Castle, a 13th century fortress that gained fame after being mentioned in an enchanting poetic piece by Lord Byron. In the afternoon we proceed through the Valais, the valley of the river Rhone with its orchards and vineyards. At Täsch we board a cogwheel train that takes us to the mountain resort of Zermatt at the foot of the mighty Matterhorn. Dinner and overnight at FIRST CLASS HOTEL.
DAY 5: ZERMATT - NUFENEN PASS - LUGANO
Spend the morning at leisure in Zermatt. Let Alpine meadows dotted with quaint farmhouses and barns enamor you. Do some shopping during the day. You may opt for a scenic ride on a cogwheel train up to Gornergrat for a spectacular view of the surrounding snow-capped peaks. After noon board the train to Täsch where our bus is waiting to take us over the breathtaking Nufenen Pass into the Italian speaking part of Switzerland, to the garden city of Lugano. Overnight at FIRST CLASS HOTEL-dinner on your own.
DAY 6: LUGANO - LAKE COMO - MALOJA PASS - ST. MORITZ
Today we leave Lugano and drive along the scenic road to Gandria and cross the border into Italy. Drive along the romantic shores of Lake Como and pass by Menaggio and arrive at Chiavenna in the lovely Breggaglia Valley. In Castasegna we re-enter Switzerland with Scenic Swiss Coach tour and drive through thirteen hairpin bends over the Maloja Pass. Drive along the lovely Lake Sils and Silvaplana to reach the world-renowned mountain resort of St. Moritz in the late afternoon. (Italian Visa necessary for some nationalities). Dinner and overnight at FIRST CLASS HOTEL.
DAY 7: ST. MORITZ - VADUZ - ZURICH
Today we drive across the Fluela Pass to reach Davos. In the capital of Principality of Liechtenstein, Vaduz, you break for lunch and shop to your hearts content. This tiny country with its mighty castle attracts tourist from all over the world. In the afternoon we will return to Zurich through the Toggenburg region with its picturesque farmhouses. Dinner on your own. Overnight at FIRST CLASS HOTEL.
DAY 8: ZURICH - RAPPERSWIL - BOATRIDE ON LAKE OF ZURICH
At 10.15 a.m. the Switzerland Flexi Tours coach will pick you up for a tour that shows you the most interesting sights of Zurich. We start with a city-tour of Zurich, along the Höhenstrasse that offers spectacular views into the Alps; we drive to Rapperswil, the town of the Roses, where you tour the lovely Rose Garden, the castle and Deer park on the Lindenhof. Return to Zurich by boat at approximately 4 p.m. and return to your hotel individually. Dinner on your own. Overnight at FIRST CLASS HOTEL.
DAY 9 : ZURICH
Breakfast is served at the hotel in Zurich. Check-out and transfer to Zurich Airport to board your flight back home.
